7 Reasons Why I Joined Wealthy Affiliate

You are here because you are interested in affiliate marketing and came across different reviews or programs and found Wealthy Affiliate.  Maybe you just so happened to click on this article and wasn’t really looking for a Wealthy Affiliate Review.  Maybe you are on a journey to learn affiliate marketing and discovered my blog here and now are checking out Wealthy Affiliate.

Perhaps you are on my email list and I’ve sent this to you, but regardless of the reasons, in this post I’m going to cover the 7 reasons why I joined Wealthy Affiliate.  Wealthy Affiliate is one of the best affiliate marketing training courses I have found.

Creating a website

This is a step that I have been neglecting for a while.  I have created a blog on Google Blogger and used to think that was enough.  After creating my free Wealthy Affiliate account and going through the introductory lessons, I have changed my mind.

There are a number of factors as to why it’s preferred to have a WordPress based blog as your center hub, but I’m not going to get too into the details in this post.

I found success in affiliate marketing once I learned how to get traffic to my website.  Traffic is basically people coming to my website.  The more traffic is the more people and the less traffic is the less amount of people.  All of that being said, the idea is to get a lot of traffic (people) looking at your affiliate websites in order to make money.

When I started to succeed in affiliate marketing, I was mainly using paid traffic and posting on Youtube.  I have learned through Wealthy Affiliate another way to generate traffic to my websites by writing blog posts (such as this one you are currently reading) to get people to see my website (aka get traffic).

Learning how to blog

When I first started in affiliate marketing, I learned how to blog.  I actually just kept a log of my daily actions and earnings in the businesses I was promoting back then and that turned me onto blogging.  The funny thing is I was doing that long before I knew what a blog, or “web log,” actually was.  I was just documenting my journey online and have started to earn so small commissions here and there.

Generating massive traffic

When I first got into affiliate marketing, I didn’t even know what I was doing.  I didn’t learn the term affiliate marketing and what it really meant until late 2019!  In the beginning, I knew I just wanted to make money online.

I remember searching the web and came across a video from another marketer that I have been following.  In the video he said “you have got to get your traffic game up” and that stuck with me for some reason.  I didn’t fully understand what he meant, but for some reason that stayed with me.

Fast forward a few years later and multiple six figures of commissions earned through affiliate marketing and I now understand what he meant!

Tap into the network

I am in the affiliate marketing, home based business, and make money online world.  The same can be said about the 1,400,000+ members of Wealthy Affiliate.

The Wealthy Affiliate membership site is setup very similar to a social media site.  You can engage with others who have similar interests on the site, comment on their profile and posts, and create connections.

People on the Wealthy Affiliate site are who I want to work with and they have a solid understanding of the basics and have shown that they are serious about learning affiliate marketing.

Get Massive Engagement

Similar to tapping into the network of Wealthy Affiliate, you can also get massive engagement.  As I mentioned before, WA is setup very similar to a social media platform and most of the people on there are very engaging.  In fact, one of the features is getting targeted comments on your blogs.

I write mostly on affiliate marketing and that exposes my methods to other affiliate marketers on the site.  When I write a blog post, it goes up on the internet getting my websites traffic and then I can request targeted comments through Wealthy Affiliate and now I have traffic from WA from people who are also interested in affiliate marketing.

You can join Wealthy Affiliate for free and go through the basic training.  I’d suggest checking it out and seeing if it’s a good fit for you.  There is an upgraded option that has more comprehensive training with monthly or annual billing options.  As of the publishing of this post, you can upgrade for $49 per month or save $93 and go with the yearly option.

You can make money referring others with 50% ish percent commission of what level your referrals decide to participate at.  You can also earn credits from your free referrals accomplishing different tasks such as completing their profile or posting some goals on the Wealthy Affiliate membership site.  These credits can then be used to cash out or request targeted comments on your blog posts (which is what I mainly use them for).

Valuable affiliate marketing training for any niche

Wealthy Affiliate gives the basic framework that can be applied to any niche.  Learning how to do affiliate marketing correctly and being able to apply it to any niche is critical as it allows you to create your own “blue ocean” and create your own path.  I will be discussing the importance of this in a future article, but the main idea is to eliminate competition in a highly competitive industry.

Wrapping it all up

Grab your free Wealthy Affiliate account at this link here and start learning all of the ins and outs about creating a website centered around a blog designed to get you traffic.  Just having a Wealthy Affiliate is good, however there are still some pieces that you need to create your online system.

The basic training from Wealthy Affiliate will teach you the basics of creating a traffic generating website.

Having traffic is one thing, but you still need to learn how to convert your website visitors into leads and then customers.  This is the basis of affiliate marketing and is also why you also need a software like Power Lead System or Click Funnels to create sales funnels.

Aweber or Get Response are two Email Marketing Software companies that will allow you to follow up with your blog visitors.

Putting it all together, you have your website or blog (created from using the Wealthy Affiliate training) that generates traffic.  A percentage of the traffic you generate will want more information about what you are recommending and that’s where Power Lead System or Click Funnels comes in.
